God Hears You

The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. Proverbs 15:29

God hears us as if we were the only one speaking. He is everywhere at all times, knows all things, sees all things, created all things,  and  lives in the hearts of those who worship Him. There is no place that we can go where God is not there and there is nothing we do that God does not see.  There is never a time when God does not hear us.

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3

When we talk to God or to Jesus, who is God, or call on the Holy Spirit, who is also God, He hears.  We call it praying, but we could just call it talking.  Talking with God does not need to be fancy.  We do not need to use big words or many words.  He knows what we need before we need it but He wants us to bring those needs before Him.  He wants us to confess our wrong doings.  He wants to be loved because He first loved us.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

We can talk to God about anything.  He already knows everything.  When we talk to Him, we know that He hears us and He is not struggling to hear us above the crowd. We don't understand what it means to be Omnipotent, but God is, and because of that, He is able to hear us as if we are the only one speaking.  We have His full attention for as long and as often as we want it.

How can we comprehend the greatness of our God.  We turned away and He bought us back with the blood of His son.  We sin and yet, He hears us and continues to work in our lives. He blesses us when we don't deserve it.  He loves us when we ignore Him and spend our time on worthless pursuits.  He stands by our sides whatever we are going through and comforts us.  How do we have such a loving and merciful God?  This is something to think about this Christmas as we run around making preparations for the holiday.

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
